Personal Information Collection Statement

When you make an application to invest in any fund offered by Mountain Asset Management (Fund), Mountain Asset Management in its capacity as the trustee for the Fund and its affiliates will collect personal information from you in the Application Form of the Fund or otherwise as part of the application process.

Mountain Asset Management and its affiliates will collect personal information so that they can process and administer your application for investment in the Fund, manage and administer any investment you subsequently make in the Fund and otherwise perform its duties as trustee of the Fund.

Mountain Asset Management and its affiliates may also use and collect your personal information to notify you (including by email) of other products, services or offers of Mountain Asset Management which may be of interest to you. However, if you request, no further material of that nature will be sent to you.   

To assist Mountain Asset Management and its affiliates in operating the Fund, personal information provided by you may be disclosed to the following organisations:

  • with your consent, your adviser and dealer group;

  • any third party service provider Mountain Asset Management may engage to provide custody, administration, technology, auditing, mailing, printing or other services;

  • government authorities and regulatory bodies when, and to the extent, required by law; and

  • our professional advisers (including legal and accounting firms, auditors, consultants and other advisers).

Mountain Asset Management and its affiliates generally collect your personal information directly from you, but may also collect it from other sources such as from third parties who have hosted events or marketing promotions in which Mountain Asset Management and its affiliates have been represented and you have expressed an interest in the Fund or other products.

If you do not provide the personal information requested in the Application Form or provide incomplete or inaccurate information, we may not be able to accept or process your application for investment in the Fund.

Mountain Asset Management may be required by the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth) and corporate and taxation legislation to collect your personal information. For certain investors, Mountain Asset Management may also be required to collect and disclose certain personal information to the Australian Taxation Office in order to comply with the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA).

Mountain Asset Management and its affiliates will take reasonable steps to protect your personal information that it collects and ensure that the information is accurate and up-to-date. Investor information is held on secure servers or in storage in locked and controlled environments. Employees of Mountain Asset Management and its affiliates are required to maintain the confidentiality of any personal information held by Mountain Asset Management and its affiliates.

Mountain Asset Management has a Privacy Policy which sets out details of how it will collect, store, manage, use and disclose personal information it collects from you.

By signing and/or submitting the Application Form for a Fund, you consent to all such collection, use and disclosure of your personal information by Mountain Asset Management and its affiliates.
